Jose Augusto Ferreira, 81, of Liberty St, passed away Tuesday after a short illness. Husband of Aurora (Barbosa) Ferreira. Born in Aldeia De Soito de Vide, Penalva do Castelo, Portugal. A retired textile worker, he enjoyed gardening. Beloved father of Maria Ferreira-Bedard (husband-Tim); brother of Gilberto and Armando Ferreia, Augusta Pais and Fatima DaSilva Marques. He also leaves a brother-in-law, Armando Almeida of Somerset and many nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, January 18, in Santo Christo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
