Jose Manuel Raposo, 74, of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Center. Born in Ajuda da Bretanha, São Miguel, Açores, a son of the late Manuel Raposo and the late Ana (Medeiros) Raposo, he emigrated to Fall River in 1969. He worked in the local textile industry as a machine fixer, retiring from the former Quaker Fabric. Jose was an avid Boston Bruins fan.

He is survived by: three children, Paul G. Raposo (wife Ileen) of Acushnet, Nancy Glasper of Fall River, and Jose F. Raposo of Quincy; three grandchildren, Xavier F. Glasper, Brandon Pacheco, Xaviera D. Glasper, and a great granddaughter, Luella M. Glasper all of Fall River; five siblings, Carmelia Gaudencio (late husband Joao), Venilde Raposo (husband Jorge), Gilbert Raposo (wife Liz), Ana Reis (husband Miguel), and John Raposo (wife Sue); and many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces/nephews. Jose was also preceded in death by a brother, Antonio Raposo.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, October 27th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
