Jose Maria Silva, 71, of Westport, passed away Sunday at St. Anne's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Husband of Maria Teresa (Fernandes) Silva, to whom he was married for 47 years. Born in Ajuda Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Jose Pacheco Silva and Maria (Pimentel) Silva. He worked at the former Lightolier Co. for many years. Beloved father of Steven J. Silva (wife-Nichole); grandfather of Aaron, Naomi, Zachary and Nathan Silva; brother of Laudalino Silva (wife-Ligia), Lourdes Hilario and Donaria Pereira (husband-Mario). He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, March 20th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
