Jose M. Medeiros, 57, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday. He was the husband of Theresa A. (Pereira) Medeiros, with whom he shared 33 years together. Born in Rebeira das Tainhas, Vila Franca, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Jose Norberto and Maria Ana (Carreiro) Medeiros. A parishioner of Espirito Santo Church, he was an active member of the Holy Name Society. He loved dogs and enjoyed spending time with the many children in his family. Most knew him as the perfect person to go to for advice, some even referred to him as the "prophet". Besides his wife, Jose is survived by his daughter, Amy Crystal Martins of Fall River; brother, Norberto Medeiros (wife - Odete) of Ribeira Seca, St. Michael; sisters, Mary Honorina Da Camara (husband - Eduino), Ana Reis (late husband - Rui) and Maria Manuela Cabral, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Richard Cabral and Savannah Cabral. He was also father of the late Cheri Ann Martins, brother of the late Manuel C. Medeiros, great uncle of the late Katiana Marie Cabral Correia, and proud uncle of three generations of over 60 nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, November 1, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
