Jose V. Moniz, 63, of Choate St., died 3/28/08 at St. Anne's Hospital after an extended illness. Husband of Maria J. (Pavao) Moniz. Born in Feteiras, St. Michael, Azores, son of Maria C. (Machado) Moniz of Fall River and the late Antonio V. Moniz, he emirated to Fall River in 1975. He was employed in the local construction industry for many years. Father of Mike, John, Steve, Joey and Diane Moniz, and Lucy Carlos, all of Fall River, brother of Izzy & Manny Moniz of Taunton, Herby & Nick Moniz, Ida Correira, Eduarda Medeiros and Cremilde Pereira all of Fall River, four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. His funeral Mass was celebrated at Espirito Santo Church. Pallbearers were Gilly Pereira, Luis, Scott, Mike, Mitch and Philip Medeiros. His committal service was held at Notre Dame Cemetery.
