Jose L. Pereira, 93, of Fall River, husband of the late Alzira S. (Pereira) Pereira, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Manuel and Emelia Pereira, he was raised in St. Michael, Azores – returning at age 19 to Fall River where he resided most of his life.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many years at Duro Textiles. Jose was a longtime member and past president of the Don Carlos Club. He enjoyed yardwork, going out to eat, socializing, singing, and especially spending time with family.

He is survived by: three children, Bobby Justin (wife Kristin) of Riverside, RI, Joe Pereira of Fall River, and Teresa Lincoln (Derek Galvam) of Fall River; four grandchildren, Desiree Justin, Ashley Justin, Brittany Justin, and Brandon Pereira; and several nieces and nephews. Jose was predeceased by several siblings.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, December 20th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
