Jose Pereira, 93, of Fall River, husband of Serafina (Silvia) Pereira, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024, at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Mosteiros, St. Michael, Azores, a son of the late Jose Pereira and the late Mariana (Cabral) Pereira, he emigrated to Fall River in 1977.

He was employed for many years at Tillotson-Pearson of Warren until his retirement in 1992. Jose was a family man, an amazing dad, and even better grandfather. He loved everybody, easily made people smile, and to everyone he was "Vovô."

Besides his wife, with whom he was together for 72 years, he is survived by: four children, Crisalda Ferreira (husband Luis) of Hamilton, Ontario, Joe Pereira (wife Maria) of Fall River, Adriano Pereira (wife Rosa) of Fall River, and Lucy Borges (husband Tony) of Fall River; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Jose was predeceased by all his siblings.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, January 12th, in Santo Christo Church followed by his committal and entombment at the Nore Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
