Jose M. Sousa, 58, of Mott St., formerly of Cabot, VT, died Friday, August 3, 2007 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center. Husband of Maria da Rosario (Oliveira) Sousa. Born in St Michael, Azores, son of the late Antonio & Olga (Pavao) Sousa, he was raised in Povoacao before moving to the states in 1973. A naturalized US citizen, Jose operated his dairy farm in Vermont for over 20 years. Father of Kenny Sousa, Michelle Sousa and Lorena Jamro, all of Fall River, brother of Mario Nelson Sousa, Lucia Pacheco, Armanda Tavares, all of Fall River, Antonio Jose Sousa and Olga Amaral, both of East Providence, and the late Vitor Sousa. He also leaves nieces and nephews. Funeral was Monday, August 6, in Espirito Santo Church. Pallbearers were Kenny Sousa, Joey Jamro, Nelson Sousa, Victor Pacheco, Sidonio Tavares, Derek Faria, Andrew Faria and Rodney Medeiros Interment, St Patrick Cemetery.
