Jose T. Aguiar, 82, of Fall River, husband of Luzia (Aguiar) Aguiar, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, a son of the late Jose Aguiar and the late Maria (Teixeira) Aguiar, he emigrated to Fall River in 1968.

He was employed as a laborer in the construction industry, working for the longest time with Central Landscaping, and was a member of Local 610. Jose was a member of the St. Anthony's Band Club, and enjoyed gardening and being with his grandchildren.

Besides his wife, of 54 years, he is survived by: four children, Jose C. Aguiar (wife Fatima) of Fall River, Alda M. Resendes (husband Rui) of Fall River, Louis C. Aguiar (wife Maria) of Somerset, and Angela M. Aguiar of Fall River; two siblings, Angelo Aguiar of Toronto, Canada, and Iria M. Aguiar of Fall River; four grandchildren, Jacob, Rosalina, Jose Carlos, and Fernando; and many nieces & nephews. He was also a brother of the late Maria T. "Margaret" Aguiar.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, May 18th, in Sty. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
