Jose F. "Chico" Teves, 61, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday. He was the husband of Laura (Vasconcelos) Teves, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage. Born in Santa Clara, São Miguel, Açores, son of the late Jose and Eliza (Morais) Teves. An active parishioner of Santo Christo Church and a proud Benfiquista, he was known for being a great dancer who loved to laugh and had the ability to "light up the room". Jose loved spending time with his family, drinking espresso or wine and daily reading. He will be lovingly remembered for being a superstar by all who knew him. Besides his wife Laura, Jose is survived by his beloved daughters, Andrea V. Teves of Pawtucket, RI and Sophia V. Andoscia, of North Providence, RI; son-in-law, Michael Andoscia; two brothers, one sister and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, December 24, in Santo Christo Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
