Jose Luis Tirano, 45, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. Born in St. Michael, Azores, a son of the late Francisco Abelha Tirano and the late Maria Rosario (Cabral) Brum, he emigrated to Fall River in 1992.

He worked for a short time in the local textile industry, as a weaver at the former Quaker Fabric company, before retiring early due to disability. He loved fishing, and greatly enjoyed soccer – his favorite team being Benfica.

He is survived by: a son, Brian Dino Cabral Tirano of Fall River; eight siblings, Maria de Fatima Cabral, Natalia Tirano, Rosa Maria Cabral, Antonio Abelha and Francisco Abelha all of St. Michael, Azores, Cecilia Farias, Paula Tavares and Paul Abelha all of Fall River; and many nieces & nephews.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, January 9th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church. His private cremation followed.
