Joseph E. Bravo, 67, of Somerset, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Ribeira Seca, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Joseph DaSilva Bravo and the late Maria dos Anjos (Pacheco) Bravo.

Prior to his retirement he worked in the local textile industry for many years. He also worked for Getty Gas and the Somerset Home Depot. He loved animals, action movies, and Law and Order. Joseph had a great smile, a kind heart, and was always eager and willing to lend a helping hand. But what he enjoyed most was spending quality time with his nieces.

He leaves his loving sister and caregiver, Marie Deplitch (late husband, Bradley) of Somerset; his two brothers, Liberto Silva and his wife, Maria, of Swansea and Victor Bravo of Fall River; his nieces and nephews, Vanessa Benevides and her husband, Matthew, Alexis Deplitch and her fiancé, Trevor Moortgat, Morgan Deplitch, Lisa Bravo, Kimberly Silva and her husband, Calvin, Victoria Bravo, Christopher Bravo, Michael Silva and his wife, Ana, and Gary Silva and his wife, Amanda; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by his cherished dog, Chloe.
