Joseph C. Medeiros, 66, of Somerset, passed away Friday after a brief illness. Husband of Zelia (Batista) Medeiros. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Virgilio and Ilda Medeiros. A self-employed contractor, Joe also the owned the G.V. Mini Mart on Robeson St. in Fall River. Father of Veronica Reis and the late Grace Medeiros; stepfather of Bryan Costa (wife-Shannon); grandfather of Maya and Brayden; brother of Virgilio Medeiros, Jr., Nuno Medeiros, Filomena "Phoebe" McCann and the late Adelino Medeiros. He also was the husband of the late Esaura (Reis) Medeiros and leaves several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, June 15, at St. Thomas More Church followed by a committal service at St. Patrick Cemetery in Somerset.
