Joseph Cabral, 74, of New Bedford, husband of Katherine M. (Sardinha) Cabral, passed away on Monday at St. Anne's Hospital after a long illness. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Joseph and Odelia (Medeiros) Cabral. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Army from 1966 to 1968. An avid sportsfan, he also enjoyed going for rides to the water and being on his iPad. But most importantly, Joseph had a huge heart and truly loved his family. Besides his wife of 44 years, he leaves his daughter, Danielle  Cabral and his son Scott Cabral of Fall River; five grandchildren: Pamela and Brittany-Ann Cabral, Devin Amaral, Emma Doyle, and Brayden Pacheco; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Jennifer Cabral-Masud. His Funeral Service was held on Monday, May 8th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by his committal with Military Honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
