Joseph John Cetola, 102, of Swansea, husband of the late Helen I. (Petrosso) Cetola, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2023 following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Pellegrino Cetola and the late Assunta (Siravo) Cetola.

Prior to his retirement he was a Purchasing Agent for Montaup Electric. A United States Veteran of the Navy, he proudly and bravely served his country during WW II. Joseph received the World War II Victory Medal, the American Theatre Medal, and the Asiatic-Pacific Medal. He loved traveling to such places as Europe, Italy, Spain, Florida, California, Portugal, and Alaska. Joseph also enjoyed Big Band music, Ballroom dancing, and the opera.  But what was most important to Joseph was spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He leaves his loving and devoted son, Paul J. Cetola and his wife, Cheryl, of Swansea; his grandsons, Paul J. Cetola and Nicholas P. Cetola; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Lucille Lawlor of Somerset; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Louisa Chamberlain, Carmela Banks, Margaret Macy, Edith Farnham, and Alba Dora Andrews.

His funeral arrangements, under the care of the Silva-Faria Funeral Homes, were private.
