Joseph T. Hart, 81, of Somerset, formerly of Fall River, husband of Susan (Hanrahan) Hart, passed away peacefully at Clifton Rehabilitation Nursing Home after a brief illness. Born in Fall River, he was the son of James D. and Angela C. (Greene) Hart. He worked for the Fall River Housing Authority for many years prior to his retirement. An Army veteran, he was also a member of the Fall River Elks Lodge, Fall River Historical Society, and the Retired State, County and Municipal Employees Association. Joe had a wonderful sense of humor and a knack for remembering everyone by name. A diehard Red Sox and Patriots fan, he enjoyed watching as many games as possible. In addition to his wife of fifty-five years, he leaves several nieces and nephews, including Jo-Ann Melchert who was his caregiver. He was the brother of the late John C. (Jack) Hart, James D. Hart, Joan C. Benevides, and Janet M Fontaine. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, June 25th, in Holy Name Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
