Joseph L. Faria, 76, of Fall River, husband of Isaura (Diogo) Faria, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021, at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Jose Carvalho de Faria and the late Maria Isabel (Ventura) Faria, he emigrated to Fall River in 1955.    For many years he had owned and operated the former Bedford Poultry. He enjoyed fishing, especially with his friends, George and Herman.

Besides his wife, of 53 years, he is survived by: a son, Joseph C. Faria (wife Martha) of Westport; two sisters, Mary F. Ramos (late husband Luis) of Somerset and Mary Margaret Faria of Somerset; three grandchildren, Julia Faria, Joseph John Faria, and Madison Elizabeth Faria; several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late John L. Faria (wife Patricia of Fall River); and the brother of the late John M. Faria (wife Mary of Fall River).

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, March 5th, in Holy Name Church followed by his private committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
