Joseph A. "Egg Man" Lemar, 89, of Westport, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 18th. He was the husband of Norma L. (Brightman) Lemar, with whom he shared over 50 years of marriage. Born in Little Compton, RI, son of the late Joseph and Delphine (Andrews) Lemar. A Westport resident for 49 years, he was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a poultry farmer for most of his life and was a mechanic at the former Jim's Automotive on Locust St. in Fall River. Joseph was an avid moose hunter, belonged to the VFW Post 8502 and was a member of the Brothers of the Brush. Survivors include children, Suzanne C. Lemar, Jody Pineault (husband-Ron), Lynn Simoes (husband-Ron) and Glenn Lemar; sisters, Belmira "Belle" Dastous, Louise Davis and Irene Dillon; grandchildren, Sabrina, Westley, Jill, Shane, Codi, Dylan, Jared and Mason; and several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Eleanor Lefebvre. Relatives and friends gathered at the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, for a memorial service.
