Joseph A. Pacheco, 76, of Westport, husband of the late Rosalie (Lima) Pacheco, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Catholic Memorial Home after a long illness. Born in Lomba da Maia, St. Michael, Azores, a son of the late Anibal Pacheco and the late Emily (Arruda) Pacheco, he emigrated to Fall River in 1953, and resided in Westport most of his life.

As a foreman and then, as a self-employed general contractor for a great number of years, Joseph built and remodeled many homes throughout Westport and the surrounding area. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, whom he cherished.

He is survived by: three sons, Joseph D. Pacheco (wife Melissa) of Westport, Douglas S. Pacheco of Westport, and Wayne M. Pacheco of Warsaw, Virginia; two sisters, Linda Rosa of Westport and Alice Costa of Fall River; a granddaughter, Julia Kate Pacheco; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceasing him are a granddaughter, Katelyn Rose Pacheco, and siblings, Cecelia Borges and Virginio Pacheco.

His Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, May 17th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by his committal at Beech Grove Cemetery in Westport.
