Joseph S. Salih, 90, formerly of Albion St, died on April 17, 2008 at Clifton Nursing Center. Husband of the late Martha (Azar) Salih. Born in Fall River, son of the late Shaker & Alia (Shaker) Salih. A retired Navy Chief Petty Officer, he served during WWII and Korea. Member of Lebanon-American Society & Lebanese-American Veterans Assoc. Father of Ernest Mizher (wife Linda) & Mary Ellen Salih, brother of Sali "Sudsy" Shaker, Josephine Lahoud and the late Janet Freitas & Susan Griffe, grandfather of Colleen Walker, Carolyn Rizzo, Gary Mizher, Charlene Bert, Cathleen Almeida, Karen Haney, Dustin Hearn & the late Dylan Hearn. He is also leaves 11 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. His funeral mass was offered in St. Anthony of the Desert Church on April 19. Committal services with military honors followed at St. Patrick Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Shaker, Joseph Freitas, Larry Haney, Gary Mizher, Andrew Almeida and Joseph Oliveira.
