Joseph Shaheen, age 52, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away at home on Monday, August 9, 2010, following an extended illness. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Annie Shaheen of Fall River and the late Maroon Shaheen. He was the loving companion of Karen Caouette. A lifelong resident of Fall River he was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1975, and was employed for twenty three years by the United States Postal Service as a Letter Carrier. Joe had a passion for hunting and fishing. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of the Desert Church in Fall River. In addition to his mother, Annie, and his long time companion, Karen, surviving family members include his son, Joseph Shaheen, Jr., and stepson Cory Archer. He also leaves behind Justin, Sheena, Evan, and Christina who were very dear to him, as were his many loving friends. His Funeral Mass was offered on Friday, August 13, in St. Anthony of the Desert Churc followed by a committal service at Notre Dame Cemetery.
