Joseph V. Sousa, 69, of Harrison St., passed away Thursday after a long illness. Husband of Lydia (Sampson) Sousa. Born in St. Michael, Azores, son of Irene (Viveiros) Sousa and the late Jose Sousa. A retired textile worker, Joe worked at the former Shelburne Shirt, Joan Fabrics and Main St. Textiles. Beloved father of Jason A. and Jeremy A. Sousa and the late Jamie Sousa; grandfather of Ashley L. Sousa; brother of Manuel V., Chester V. and Albert Sousa and the late Maria Isabel Sousa. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, November 24th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
