Joseph Souza, 97, of Fall River, husband of Luciana (Rapoza) Souza, died Sunday 4/22/12 at home after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born in Fall River, son of the late Hermano & Gloria (Cabral) Souza, he lived in Fall River most of his life. A construction laborer for many years, he was the oldest member of Local #610. He enjoyed gardening and was considered a "Mr. Fix-it", as he could repair anything. He was a member of Espirito Santo Feast & Holy Ghost Committees. Besides his wife, of almost 60 years, he leaves a daughter, Diane Dishaw, & a sister, Olive Diniz, both of Fall River; a grandson, Joseph Dishaw; several nieces & nephews. Also brother of the late Isabel Costa & Gilda Andrade. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, April 26, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at St Patrick Cemetery.
