Joyce (Handy) Boyer, 64, of Milliken Blvd. in Fall River, died at home on Saturday. Born in Dighton, MA, Joyce was a daughter of the late Elmer G. Handy and the late Hilda S. (Rose) Ulak. A resident of Fall River since 1960, Joyce was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Her favorite past time was spent taking care of her great granddaughter, Madison Grace Balboni. She was known to happily drive around specifically to admire Christmas lights and foliage. Survivors include a son, George D. Boyer of Tiverton, three daughters, Cheryl Boyer of San Jose, CA, Sharon Oliveira and her husband John, of Westport, Donna Fusaro and her husband Robert, of Fall River, a brother, Martin Ulak of Rehoboth, a sister, Carol Field and her husband William of Atlanta, GA, grandchildren, Jason Pereira, Derek Boyer, Tayla Fusaro and her fiancee Matthew, great granddaughter, Madison Grace Balboni, and two nieces, Deborah Field and Pamela Nexon. Funeral was held Thursday, August 16th in Sacred Heart Church. Pallbearers were George Boyer, Robert Fusaro, John Oliveira, Jason Pereira, Jared Ulak and Matt Balboni. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery.
