Julia S. Medeiros, 89, of Fall River, wife of the late Carlos Medeiros, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Fall River Health Care following a short illness. Born in Flores, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Fernando deAlmeida Silveira and the late Celestina Lopes (de Amorim) E. Silveira.

Prior to her retirement she worked in the local textile industry for many years. An accomplished artist, particularly pencil sketching, she also loved gardening, and traveling to such places as the Azores, Italy, Europe, and Jamaica. Most important to Julia was family and spending quality time with all of them, especially her grandsons.

She leaves her loving sons, Joseph S. Medeiros and Charles S. Medeiros, both of Fall River, and her grandsons, William C. Medeiros and Benjamin M. Medeiros.

Following a private cremation, Her Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, June 12th, at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fall River.
