Juliana M.
Coelho
d. Aug 8, 2021
Juliana M. Coelho, 81, of Fall River and wife of the late Manuel Coelho, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Santa Maria, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Rezendes and the late Antonina (Velho Perinho) Rezendes. She emigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1959 and moved to Massachusetts in 1973. Prior to her retirement, she worked in the local textile industry as a folder for many years.
She loved to read and enjoyed the great epic movies, particularly Gone with the Wind. She proudly received her high school diploma in 1986 as she was not afforded the opportunity to finish an education in her native land.
She leaves her two sons, Frank Coelho, and his wife, Kendyl, of North Attleborough, and Benjamin Coelho and his wife, Erika Andrade, of Fall River; four grandchildren, Nicholas Coelho, Julia Coelho, Sarah Coelho, and Alex Andrade; one sister, Olga Martins, of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Eduino Ricardo and the late Zelia Franco.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on August 13th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her Committal and Entombment at the Notre Dame Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Juliana's memory to: Catholic Memorial Home, In Memory of Juliana Coelho, 2446 Highland Avenue, Fall River, MA 02720. We have asked the facility to set aside these funds for the wonderful activities team that help bring joy to the residents.
