Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Julieta Santos who left us peacefully on January 19, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in St. Michael, Azores, Julieta lived a life of deep faith, grace, and unwavering devotion to her Catholic beliefs. Her love for God guided her every action and was the cornerstone of her life. She found comfort and strength in her faith and shared that light with all who knew her.

A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Julieta had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and deeply loved. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her passion for life brought light to the darkest days. Whether through her devotion, beautiful garden, cooking, or commitment to hard work, she touched countless lives in immeasurable ways. She spent her life raising a family, maintaining a home, and working diligently to help provide a better life for those around her.

She was a devoted parishioner of St. Bernard's parish and found joy in attending Mass, praying the rosary, singing in the choir, and living a life guided by Christ's teachings. Her unwavering trust in God inspired everyone who knew her and will remain a guiding light for her family.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her husband Joseph Santos Sr., and her children, Richard and his wife Martha, Gregory, and Joseph and his wife Erin Santos. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, Jenna, Kara, and Marissa Aries, as well as Kendall Santos. She is also survived by her siblings, Maria Holloway, Maria Jose Franco, and Antonio DeMelo, along with numerous friends and loved ones who will forever hold her in their hearts.

She is now reunited in peace with her beloved daughter, Rebecca Santos, and her brothers, Dennis and James DeMelo, as well as other departed family members and friends.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, January 25th at St. Bernard Church in Assonet followed by her committal at Assonet Burial Grounds.
