Juvenalia Amaral, 76, of Tiverton, wife of Daciel C. Amaral, passed away peacefully at Morton Hospital on Thursday, April 16, 2020 after a brief illness.
Born in Feteiras de Sul, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joao C. and Irene (Pacheco) Amaral.
She was co-owner with her husband, Daciel Amaral, and her late sister, Laudalina, of Amaral's Central Market in Fall River for many years. Juvenalia loved to excercise, always keeping herself fit and in good health. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who held her Lord and Savior to be of utmost importance.
Besides her loving husband of fifty-three years, she leaves: her children, Elizabeth Amaral of Tiverton and David P. Amaral and his wife, Mary, of Somerset; three grandchildren, Kayla Amaral, Corissa Amaral, and Isabella Dias; her sister, Judith Oliveira (late husband, John) of Swansea; her brother, John F. Amaral and his wife, Luisa, of Somerset; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Grace Amaral-Dias and sister of the late Laudalina Amaral.
Due to the COVID pandemic, Juvenalia was laid to rest on Tuesday, April 21st, with a private committal service at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
