Karen Lee Medeiros, 48, of Swansea, wife of Luis Costa and the late Fernando Medeiros, passed away at home after a long illness. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of Barbara (Nunes) DeMarco and the late Albert DeMarco. She enjoyed cooking, going to the beach, and decorating her home and yard for the holidays. Karen had a heart of gold defining the true meaning of a loving mother, wife, and sister. Besides her husband and mother, she leaves a daughter, Chelsea Medeiros of Swansea; two sisters Cheryl Miranda of Swansea and Lisa Coelho of Fall River; three brothers Douglas, Mark, and Peter DeMarco of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, May 5th, in St.Louis de France Church in Swansea followed by her committal at Vinnicum Woods Cemetery.
