Kory Michael Cabral, age 23, passed away unexpectedly in Fall River on Friday, April 24, 2015. A resident of Fall River, he was the fiancé of Felicia DaSilva and the loving father of their son Benjamin Michael Cabral. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Maria Cabral of this city and Peter Estrela of Westport, MA. A 2010 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Kory was employed by the Communications Construction Group of West Chester, PA, as a fiber optic technician, dispatched out of the CCG field office in Taunton, MA. Preferring his leisure at a fast pace, Kory enjoyed hockey, snowboarding, motorcycles and racing cars. And his skill with tools allowed him to keep his equipment in top shape. Additional survivors include his step-mother Monica Estrela of Westport, step-father Michael Dias of Fall River, maternal grandparents Fernando and Maria do Ceu Cabral of Fall River, paternal grandparents Jacinto and Beatrice Estrela of Fall River, two brothers; Blake Estrela of Westport, and A. J. Ivy of Fall River, four sisters; Brianna Dias of Fall River, and Kiana Estrela, Joelle Botelho, and Brooklyn Estrela, all of Westport, and several aunts, uncles, and three nieces. Kory was blessed with a good heart, a big heart, where he held his son, his family, and his many friends. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, April 30th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
