Laurine Silvia, 94, of Fall River, wife of the late Joseph Botelho and the late Noel Silvia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Antone and Gloria Conceicao (Mello) Bishop. She worked in the local textile industry as a machine operator for many years prior to her retirement.  Laurine loved crocheting, cooking, and baking, her specialty being malassadas and biscoits. She also enjoyed her trips to the casino and making her own liquor. Laurine was a very independent woman, who up until most recently, was still driving. But most important to her was her family, who she loved dearly. She leaves: her daughters, Cynthia Rodrigues and her husband John of Westport and Valerie Viveiros and her husband Joseph of Fall River; three grandchildren,  Keith Vieira, Victor Vieira, and Deborha Sevigny; five great-grandchildren, Keith Vieira II and his wife Mykayla, Benjamin Vieira, Torie Vieira, Carly Sevigny, and Aiden Sevigny; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Daniel Bishop, Manuel Bishop, Leo Matthews, Antone 'Valle' Sousa and Alice Martin. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, December 15th, in Good Shepherd Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
