Lea Gomes, 95, of Fall River, wife of the late Manuel C. Gomes, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late John A. Medeiros and the late Marianna (Pereira) Medeiros.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a floor lady in the local textile industry for many years. She loved cooking and spending quality time with family and friends. In her younger days, Lea also enjoyed her daily walks, shopping, and trips to the casino with her sister.

She leaves her loving children, Joan Rodrigues of Dighton and Steven Gomes and his wife, Gina, of Dartmouth; her granddaughter, Erin Phelps and her husband, James, of Clearwater, Florida; one sister, Mary Arruda of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral mass was celebrated on Friday, June 9th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
