Lena P. Miranda, 90, of Fall River, wife of the late Edmund Miranda, passed away on May 22, 2017 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Helen (Rego) Cabral. A true "homebody", she also loved long walks, laughing, parades, and her many trips to McDonald's. She leaves her seven children: Edmund Miranda,Jr., and his wife Cynthia of Somerset, James Miranda (late wife-Gloria), Robert Miranda, Nancy Preece, and Carol Gouveia, of Fall River, Joseph Miranda of Texas, and Richard Miranda and his wife Dorene of  Assonet; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters: Anna Arruda (late husband-Joseph), Helen Correia (husband-Manuel), Mary DeSouto of Fall River, and Lucille Raposa (husband-Charles) of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Dennis Miranda and sister of the late Olive Oliveira, Joseph Cabral, and Matthew Cabral. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, May 27th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
