Leo DiCorpo, 94, of Fall River, beloved husband of the late Stella (Mis) DiCorpo, died Thursday 12/3/09 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in, and a lifelong resident of, Fall River, he was a son of the late Ferdinand & Rose (Viens) DiCorpo. Prior to his retirement in 1980, he had worked for many years as a supervisor at the former US Luggage on Broadway in Fall River. He enjoyed playing basketball in his youth, when he was known as "Copper" – playing in Holy Rosary, YMCA & Boys Club leagues. He was an avid Red Sox fan. He leaves: children, Rosalind Chouinard (husband George), Angela Caron (husband Ronald) & Frances Jensen; siblings, Edward DiCorpo & Terry Mays; 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Louise, Antone, William, Armand & Fred DiCorpo, Ann Wojciechowski, Evelyn Price and Matilda Mailloux. Family and friends gathered at Holy Rosary Church on Monday, 12/7/09, for a funeral Mass celebrating Leo's life. Following the service, pallbearers, Dennis Jensen, Steve Carreiro, Scott Caron, Dean Chouinard, Larry Paul Silva and Joseph Raposa brought Leo to his final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
