Leonard R. Torchia, Sr., 70, of Fall River passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Ralph J. Torchia and the late Hilda (Raposa) Torchia.

Prior to retirement he was owner of Somerset Fence for many years. He was currently employed by Community Connections, Inc., and loved what he did and the people he worked with. He had great respect for Veterans and donated his time to different support groups. He loved cooking, camping, and had a love for motorcycles. He was a long-time member of the Watuppa Boat Club and enjoyed boating and fishing. But most notably, Leonard was a happy and friendly man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves: his children, Leonard R. Torchia, Jr. and his wife, Rose, of Fall River, Leah Pacheco and her husband, Richard, of Bristol, Rhode Island, and Chianna Torchia of Fall River; his granddaughter, Samantha Torchia; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Douglas Torchia.

Following his private cremation, a memorial gathering was held on Thursday, June 17th, in our Fall River Chapel.
