Leontina Benjamin, 75, of Fall River, widow of Henrique Benjamin, died Saturday 11/3/12 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in St Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Augusto C. & Marianna (Rebello) Lindo, she lived in Westport most of her life. She worked in the local textile industry for many years, retiring from Whaling Mfg in 1997, and was a member of Espirito Santo Church Holy Ghost Society. She leaves: 6 children, Maria Natalie Faria (husband Manny), Anna Ferreira (husband Paul), Lucy Benjamin (& David Teixeira) all of Fall River, Timothy Benjamin of Providence, Luis (wife Gabriela) & Manuel (wife Barbara) Benjamin both of Westport; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandsons; many nieces & nephews. Also mother of the late Manuel Augusto; and sister of the late Marianna Pacheco, Jordalina de Costa, Maria Oliveira, Leonilde Benjamin, Manuel Carvalho, Joseph & Luis Lindo. Her funeral Mass was celebrated at Espirito Santo Church. She was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
