Leontina "Tillie" (Teixeira) Oliveira, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Fall River Jewish Home on October 4, 2008. She was the widow of Frank Oliveira. Born in Fall River and a life long resident, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Rosa (Pereira) Teixeira. She was employed for 37 years at Louis Hand and worked as a floor lady until her retirement in 1984. She is survived by 2 sons, Allan J. Oliveira and his wife Carol Ann of South Carolina, and Frank Oliveira, Jr. of Florida. She was the grandmother of Sheila (Oliveira) DeAlmeida and her husband Michael of Fall River, Stephanie (Oliveira) Nazzaro and her husband James of South Carolina, Kenneth Oliveira, Jeffrey Oliveira and the late David Allan Oliveira and Glenn Oliveira. She was the great grandmother of Cassandra Oliveira, Mikallan DeAlmeida, Alexander Nazzaro and the late David Allan DeAlmeida. She was also the sister of Alice Bandara, Louis Teixeira and the late Diana Branco, Mary Cabral and Justina Mosteiro; the sister-in-law of Mary Ponte and the beloved former mother-in-law of Vivian (Oliveira) Souza. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service was held in the Silva-Faria Funeral Home. Pallbearers Gil and Michael DeAlmeida and Kenneth Oliveira brought Tillie to her final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
