Licia Silva, 93 (just a day shy of 94), of Dartmouth, formerly of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Monday. Widow of Augustine Silvia. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Augustine and Maria da Luz (Janeiro) Silva. A sewing machine operator, she worked for many years at Nancy Dress and retired from Center Garment. She was the beloved mother of Patricia Sousa of Westport and her late husband Manuel N. Sousa; sister of Amy Ferreira of Fall River, Dolores Rego of Westport and the late Augustine Silva, Jr., Gilbert Silva, Raul Silva and Judith Roderick; grandmother of Lori Silvia (husband - Michael) of Westport and Linda Avedisian (husband - Todd) of Newark, NY; great grandchildren, Tye Avedisian, Kyleigh Avedisian and Tess Silvia. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, August 30, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
