Lidia P. Carrelas, 91, of Fall River, died Tuesday April 14, 2015 after a short illness. Born in Agua Retorta, St Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jose F. L. & Rosalina Vieira (Carrelas) Pereira, she emigrated to Fall River in 1968. She worked in the local textile industry for many years, retiring in 1988, and was a member of the ILGWU (now UNITE). Of her 11 siblings, 3 survive her: Jaime, Dimas (wife Celeste) & Miguel (wife Lucia) Pereira all of Fall River; and many nieces & nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, April 18, in St Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St Patrick Cemetery.
