Lidia S. Resendes, 86, of Pine St., passed away Friday at Catholic Memorial Home. Widow of Alberto L. Resendes. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Da Silva. A retired textile worker, Lidia was a former member of the Holy Rosary Society of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Beloved mother of Messias Leandro (wife-Dovalina) and Alda R. Tavares (husband-Ron); grandmother of Todd (wife-Christine) and Heidi Leandro, Eric (wife-Jessica) and Craig (wife-Megan) Tavares and the late Jameson Lee Leandro and Brian Tavares; great grandmother of Sydney Leandro, Preston and Ashton Koury, Emma and Connor Tavares; sister of Lourdes Cabral, Albertina Moniz and the late Mario Silva. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, August 31st, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
