Lidoina "Lillian" Alves, 83, of Taunton, formerly of Fall River, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday. Wife of Lee Alves, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Antone and Laura (Vieira) Medeiros. She worked for the Mass. Dept. of Unemployment in Fall River for 30 years. Upon retirement, Lillian and Lee spent 20 years in Harbor Lakes, FL, where they were active participants with the VFW in their community's Follies. Locally they were involved with Leisure Wood Follies. She enjoyed sewing, reading, bowling, shuffleboard, visiting flea markets and cutting coupons. Above all, her family came first. Beloved mother of Brenda Boissoneault (husband-Gary) of Fall River, Gregory Alves of Boston, Patrick Alves (wife-Maria) of Dighton and Andrew Alves (wife-Maria) of Berkley; sister of Lorraine Robillard of Taunton and the late Antone Medeiros; grandmother of Jamie, Vanessa, Andrew, Jonathan, Nathan and Karissa; great grandmother of Nicholas, Caleb and Joel. Lill also leaves several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, February 4, in St. Nicholas of Myra Church in No. Dighton followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River.
