Lillian
Cabral
d. Jan 17, 2019
Tiverton
Lillian Cabral, 91 of Tiverton, RI, was called home peacefully on January 17, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late John Joseph Cabral for 64 years until his passing in 2008. Born in Fall River, MA she was the daughter of the late Irene Cabral & Manuel Luciano. She is survived by her "7 blessings", as she fondly referred to her children, and their spouses: John C. Cabral and his wife Yun Min of Portsmouth , Reverend Clifford J. Cabral (Pastor Emeritus of St. Joseph's Church, Pascoag, RI) of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, Anne Duval and her husband Pierre of Wyoming, Rhode Island, Madeleine Turcotte and her husband Daniel of Lakeville, Massachusetts, Andrew J. Cabral and his wife Esther of Arizona, David M. Cabral of Tiverton, Rhode Island and Stephanie Silvia of Tiverton, Rhode Island. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren Holly, Peter, Trisha, Richard, Brittany, Nicholas and Kevin as well as five great-grandchildren.
Lillian was born and raised in Fall River, MA and remained until her marriage to John. She was an attendee of Durfee. Ever the hard worker, Lillian started working at the Fall River Mills in her youth, was self-employed as a housekeeper and eventually continued her career to the Globe candy factory. Self-admittedly, however, the greatest roles in her life were "Wife" "Mother" and "Vo Vo".
Lillian was an active member of the Tiverton Senior Citizens group until her hospitalization last year lead her to Silver Creek Manor in Warren, RI. Her sweet, quiet disposition will be remembered by those who knew her. Her family will forever be grateful for the strength and unwavering love she tirelessly provided throughout her life. To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed by many. A special thank you to her grandson Nicholas Silvia, for his special care.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, January 23rd, at St. Christopher's Church in Tiverton, RI, followed by her committal at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Cemetery in Little Compton, RI.
