Lillian (Varanese) Jones, 80, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday, peacefully at home and surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Richard Jones, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Anthony and Lillian (Dunn) Varanese. Most of her life she was a Fall River resident and she also lived in Westport for 30 years. Along with her husband Richard, she owned and operated Capitol Catering for 50 years. Lillian enjoyed cooking, loved animals and spending time with her family. Survivors include a son, William Jones (wife – Debra) of Dartmouth; daughters, Donna Murphy (partner – Robert Gillpatrick) of Westport, Peggy Farias (husband – Frankie), Nancy Jones (Husband – David Fernandes), and Lori Ann Kydd (husband – Lionel) all of Fall River; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late William, Anthony "Mus" and Maureen Varanese. Her Funeral Service was held on Saturday (10/31) in Calvary United Presbytarian Church, 216 Harrison St. Cremation followed.
