Linda F. Boardman, 50, of Westport, wife of Robert W. Boardman, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Fall River, the daughter of Eduarda (Furtado) Marques of Westport, and the late Tiberio J. Marques, she resided in Westport most of her life.
She was employed as a salesclerk at Home Depot in Dartmouth for 10 years, Linda had also waitressed at White's of Westport, as well as at Hawthorne Country Club, for several years prior. She took time to raise her family as a stay-at-home mom for her two sons. She enjoyed gardening, being outside, hosting parties, and decorating her home for all the holidays.
She especially enjoyed vacationing with her family at such places as Disneyworld and Universal Studios. Having always enjoyed the movie as a child, Linda developed a passion for Wizard of Oz collectibles.
Besides her husband, of 25 years, she is survived by: two sons, Nathan R. Boardman and Andrew W. Boardman both of Westport; parents-in-law, Robert & Laurian Boardman of Fall River; a brother-in-law, Russell Boardman of Swansea; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; her two golden retrievers, Bailey & Zoe, and her cat, Misty.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, September 29th, at Espirito Santo Church in Fall River followed by her committal at Beech Grove Cemetery in Westport.
