Linda Ann Carvalho, age 72, of Somerset, Massachusetts, passed away at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday, August 13, 2016. She was the widow of Robert 'Butch' Carvalho. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Martin Fahey and the late Dora (Delzenero) Fahey. A resident of Somerset, for most of her life, she was employed in the Somerset School System for many years as an Elementary School Secretary until her recent illness. Linda was a parishioner of St. Thomas More Church in Somerset. Surviving family members include her two daughters, Kristen Macedo (husband David) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Beth Devonshire (companion Shelly Morris) of Easton, Massachusetts, two sisters, Arlene Monarch of Little Compton, Rhode Island, and Elizabeth Corrigan of Fall River, four grandchildren; Nolan Macedo, Jack Devonshire, Lily Macedo and Declan Macedo, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. John Yang and his incredible staff who provided such care and support to Linda and family over the past 18 months. They are forever grateful. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, August 19th, in St. Thomas More Church, Somerset, followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
