Lolita A. Fernandes, 64, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, she was a daughter of Alvira (Rondina) Fernandes and the late Diniz J. Fernandes.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a costing manager for a local jewelry company for many years. Amazingly artistic and creative, she loved to write and used her skill to author a children's book specifically for her nieces and nephews. Although she never sought out for it to be published, her book will always be cherished by our family now and generations to come. Lolita loved to travel and experience new places. Even though she was unable to do so in recent years, she never lost her passion for adventure and loved experiencing the journeys through the eyes of her family.  Most notably, Lolita was a very good listener, was generous, had a great sense of humor, and loved her family dearly, especially her nieces and nephews.

Besides her loving mother, she leaves her sisters, Christine Botelho and her husband, John, of Fall River, and BrendaLee Racine and her husband, Daniel, of Swansea. Affectionately called "Tia Lo", she also leaves her cherished nieces and nephews, Sarah Ann Botelho, John Christopher Botelho, Delaney Elizabeth Racine, and Samuel Becket Racine.

Her funeral arrangements were private.
