Obituary

Lorraine "Carsha" Arruda, 91, of Fall River, wife of the late John P. Arruda, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at St. Anne's Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Rebello and the late Mary (Medeiros) Rebello.

Prior to her retirement she was a sampler at Swan Finishing for many years. A Chicago PD fan, she also loved classic movies with her favorite actors including Christopher Meloni, Robert De Niro, and Al Pacino. She also enjoyed traveling to such places as Las Vegas, Florida, and Hawaii. But most important to Lorraine was spending quality time with all of her family.

She leaves her loving son, Edmund Medeiros of Fall River; her son-in-law and caretaker, Patrick A. Richards; three grandsons, Jason S. Gray (Nicole), Chad E. Medeiros, and Jonathan P. Richards (Talia); two great-grandchildren, Lily Gray and Ainsley Gray; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Theresa "Terry" Richards and the sister of the late Joseph Rebello and David Rebello.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, August 22nd, in Holy Trinity Parish Church followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Lorraine's memory to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105.
