Lorraine A. Forand, 91, formerly of Metacomet Ave, Swansea, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Country Gardens Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Widow of Joseph L. Forand. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Thomas and Amanda Lavoie. A cafeteria worker, mostly at the Luther School in Swansea, she retired in 1985. Member of American Legion Post 303 Ladies Auxiliary and former member of St. Michael's Catholic Women's Club, Swansea Seniors and Our Lady of Fatima Seniors. She loved bingo and her trips to Foxwoods. Beloved mother of Claire L. Sullivan (husband – Michael W.); Thomas J. Forand (wife – Marylou) and Daniel R. Forand; grandmother of Shawn M. Sullivan (wife – Robin). She also leaves twin nieces and their husbands. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
