Lorraine M. Masterson, 86, of Swansea, wife of James A. Masterson, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Elmhurst Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Providence, R.I.  Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Ernest Gagnon and the late Irene (Laliberte) Gagnon, she resided in Swansea since 1962, and had also lived for a time in Norfolk, VA, and Alexandria, VA.

A U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, she served her country honorably and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. She was employed in the student enrollment department of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for about fifteen years, retiring in 2002. Lorraine enjoyed bowling and cooking; and she loved to travel with her husband.

Besides her husband, of 64 years, she is survived by: two children, James W. Masterson of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida, and Carol A. Masterson of Swansea; six grandchildren, Kaytlyn, Kayleigh, Rebecca, Olivia, Emily, and Joe; one great grandson, Mason; and three nephews, Paul Torchia, Steven Torchia, and Bill Gagnon. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Irene Torchia and Alfred Gagnon.

Private Cremation Arrangements were with the Silva-Faria Somerset Funeral Home, 84 County St, Somerset.
