Louis A. "Chumeca" Sousa, 55, of Fall River, passed away Sunday after an extended illness. He was the husband of Maria D. (Pereira) Sousa, with whom he shared 33 years of marriage. Born in Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Antone "Chumeca" and Maria C. (Camara) Sousa. A Fall River resident for 33 years, he worked in construction and was a member of the Santo Christo Club. He is survived by sons, Ernest, Bobby and Kevin Sousa, all of Fall River, a sister, Ernestina Farias, of Capelas, St. Michael, granddaughters, Alexis, Kaylana and Kalli, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Jamie "Chumeca" Sousa. His Funeral Mass was offered on Wednesday (7/15) in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Committal services followed at St. Patrick Cemetery.
